#FunFactFriday Special Edition: 2016 is going to be an exciting year on the blog!

Created with Microsoft Fresh Paint

Welcome to 2016! This week, instead of a scientific fact or list of resolutions, I have some exciting developments that will be coming to Er4schen in the year ahead:

We’re moving to Mondays.

FunFactFridays will, of course, continue to be posted every other Friday, but I’ll be posting my other content on Mondays. This is partially to work better with my own schedule, and also because one of my goals for the new year is to write more. So count on two posts every other week!

New “What I’m Reading” feature

Much of what I write is informed by what I’m reading. In fact, the primary way I learned how to write as a kid was by reading voraciously. You may have already noticed the changes to the site. The new “What I’m Reading” feature in the sidebar will hopefully give you some context for my posts, and maybe even help you find an interesting book you wouldn’t have known about otherwise.

Er4schen is going abroad!

This is probably the most exciting bit of news I have about the coming year. This summer, I’ll be spending just about two weeks abroad, ten days in Switzerland and three days in Iceland. There will be climbing. There will be exploring. There will be shenanigans with friends. And you can bet there will be plenty of posts about it! I’ll also update the blog with my preparations as much as I can.

The start of a new year is always full of optimism and the anticipation of unrealized potential. I’m hoping to carry this mindset through the next 365 days and whatever adventures (and challenges) they bring. Thank you for all your support and encouragement so far – here’s to 2016!
